Some sad news to report, folks. Richard Forbort, one of our great teachers at Central, died this past Sunday in Duluth. Most of you probably remember (and were part of) Mr. Forbort's excellent phy-ed or fitness classes at Central, and have fond memories of his enthusiastic and warm personality. Here's a link to his obituary in the Duluth News Tribute (which also includes a guest book for you to leave a message on if you'd like): www.legacy.com/DuluthSuperior/DeathNotices.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonID=104282020

Hi All! Surfed by this morning after a long absence - just wanted to say hello and wish you all a happy Mother's Day. Kari, kids and I are now in Park City, UT. Leaving Seattle area was tough but living in the mountains and minutes from the ski hill sort of made up for it. (That and the polygamist lifestyle I have chosen to follow. JK. Or am I??? ) Anyway - epic snowfall this winter! 18 years in Duluth and we never owned a snowblower - I finally broke down and bought the biggest one I could find when we moved here this past summer. Good thing - we ended up with over 32' (yes feet) this year at my house and almost twice that at the top of the mountains. Alot of great powder days. Snowbird resort is expected to stay open until after July 4th. I am told to expect snow every month except August. Global warming? Where? Hope all of you are well and that we are handling our mid life crisis's with style. My email if you want to say hello: david.beauclair@3-form.com

Hello fellow classmates. Just a note to say hi and offer a sincere apology to anyone who I may have offended in the past. I have (in my mind) many great memories associated with the class of 1984 and the years leading up to graduation, but I'm thinking that I may not have been as nice as I should have been. I smile as I read your posts and remember your faces from days gone by knowing that we have all grown up and lead new lives now. I'm glad to hear of each persons accomplishments in life and want to wish you all the very, very best in the years to come. Hope this finds you well....
Sincerely, Dave Skansgaard

Hi all! I haven't been on the website for so long! I'm so glad we've got a 25th lined up. Here's what's up with me in case anyone's interested. Moved back to Texas last summer. Steve's at Carlson Companies (a good ole Minnesota company) at their TGIFriday's headquarters doing IT stuff. I went back to work just before last Christmas at a great local daycare. I have itty bitty babies. One other teacher and I have ten babies 6 weeks to 6 months old. So busy but so great - especially since we're done in the baby-making department at our house. We were able to get our "dream house" cause housing is so much less expensive than in Chicago so that's nice. Still getting it furnished but that'll keep. We'd hung on to things while in Chicago and then left them behind to move into a near-empty house here. September will bring us some things to finally get our TV off the floor. Maybe we'll have a dining room table by Christmas. We use the kitchen table anyway. My boys are still little compared to most of you. I'm sure you can't imagine going back but I'm loving it. Garrett will be 10 in October and Connor will be 5 in September. I remember Joyce Heine was pregnant at our 20th, does anyone have a younger baby? Any grandparents yet for the other end of the spectrum? I must say that I'm so glad that now, at our age, the differences we had have just pretty much disappeared. Not that many of us were mortal enemies or anything but we definitely had different groups we "hung" with. Somehow, those divisions still overshadowed the 10th reunion for me but were just gone for the 20th. I remember thinking after the 20th reunion "ohmygosh! I just stood and talked to two of the cheerleaderes!!" I know they would never have snubbed me in high school but for me they were "in" and me - not so much. How sad that those divisions between us were usually put up by each of us on our own in our own minds. I just read a post from Jeff Tucker from awhile ago and learned he missed having his dream date for prom cause he didn't feel he could ask. Really gives me insight into the teenage mind. Lots of you have teenagers. Does it work to tell them about when you were young to help them get perspective?? Probably not, huh? Ok, I'm waxing sentimental and must stop or ya'll will start to gag. One other note - I just remembered "Snips!!" and seem to not be able to give a good definition of the term to my husband. Kinda like giving the finger, wasn't it?? Have a great day all!

Just dropping in and say hello and wish the best to all. It is great to see that those who posted messages here are doing well with kids, jobs, school, moving to new jobs and homes. 24 years have gone by to fast. My wife Heidi and I have one child Khloee, 3 years old. She came to us through open adoption when she was 3 weeks old. We are trying to adopt another baby if we can make an open adoption plan with a birth family in the upper mid west... But I am sure that we would travel further to complete our family. If it all works out I will have a another little one (very little) when we all get together next summer. High school graduations? ? We are doing preschool next year. Would not change it for the world. Khloee has made me smile every day for the last 3 1/2 years. Rick Nelson

Hi Cara, Quite awhile ago, a long time ago, I was trying to contact you and ask you about your brother Paul. Hope all is well for him. How and (if you can share) what's he doing these days? I remember your strawberry kitchen on 11th street. By the way, hope all is well for your mom too. If you can, when you can here's my e-mail address: cocobuddy2002@yahoo.com Thank You Sue

I am sending and email to everyone to say hello. Thank you to Mark who is the creator/ founder for this website. I feel connected to everyone who participate with the website, and I enjoy checking in to see what is new with everyone. I have to confess. I have been meaning to write this blurb to everyone for about four weeks now. Like everyone else life has been busy for the Miller home.
Our oldest Briana starts college on October 6. She will attend The Art Institutes International ( private art college) located in downtown Minneapolis. Boy, do I feel old! Our youngest, Jessica is a junior at Irondale High School. Jessica has already implied she will be moving away for college. ( we will see)
My daughters and I were taking a "girls vacation" with my mother to the Brainerd Lakes/Nisswa area towards the end of August and I ran into Patty Stein. She is fellow classmate we have been searching for. She is married and goes by the name Patty Sunde. Patty works at a landscaping store in Nisswa, MN. Pattys email is: patty.sunde@yahoo.com.
Hope everyone is well. Until next time!
Dawn Williamson-Miller

Also wanted to post, that Coach Ignatius passed away on Sept 26... He was our PE teacher at Washington Jr. OMG! I can't believe that guy was still around. He was my dad's PE teacher at Washington, back in the dark ages! And since my dad is in HIS 70's that would make Mr. Ignatius more than 80+. Apparently PE does pay off after all! And to think now of all those gym classes I skipped...LOL!

Hi All! Kari, kids and I are now in Park City, UT... Cool! My husband and I just visited Park City and Salt Lake as a possible relocation destination last year and ended up in Colorado Springs. You live in a very beautiful area. We enjoyed our visit there very, very much. We stayed at Snowbird while we were there and LOVED IT! We plan to return again sometime in the near future, as it is part of our timeshare suite. The view from the rooftop pool is amazing! And who wouldn't love Oktoberfest almost all summer long? Enjoy the skiing! My husband loves skiing, but I am partial to rock climbing and mountain biking.

Hey what's up crew? Just thought I would drop a line since I hooked up the Lil Man with the class info. The gang of bastards are still tight, (Hag, Ham, Harry, Uncle bill, Lil Man). Hag and I are business partners in construction. Two kids, 10 & 12 and an ex-wife buried in the back yard. (just kidding for those of you that want to go Nancy Grace on me!). Karma is a blessing and a curse. My son is a carbon copy of me and my daughter is a nasty red head busting on me every chance she gets. Both are super and straight A's in school, Thank GOD for their mother because it didn't come from me!
be good or don't get caught! PJH
